On Sunday 23rd March 2025 it is the Sheffield Half Marathon on and our very own Diane Evans will be running to raise funds for “HOUF” Helping Our Ukrainian Friends – a community of people across England, Poland and Ukraine dedicated to helping Ukrainians through the war.
The project has raised over £350,000 and delivered 50 tonnes of aid to Ukrainians in need.
In December 2023 they also drove two ambulances out to Kyiv to be used by Ukrainian military units on the front line, with another 2 4×4 vehicles being delivered only last week to take wounded soldiers to safety.
They help individual families, schools and organisations across the war torn country as well as providing Christmas and Easter boxes to children desperately in need.
